Burns Night at MOFAD

  • Museum of Food and Drink 62 Bayard Street Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

Burns Night is not only a celebration of the Scottish bard, Robert Burns, but it is also a celebration of the delights of Scottish food and culture. This year, as part of our Feasts and Festivals series, MOFAD will be hosting our very first Burns Night! Guests will enter to the beautiful sound of bagpipes before sitting down to enjoy samples of haggis (vegetarian included) and other Scottish delicacies, a guided Scottish whisky tasting courtesy of Johnnie Walker, and Burns poetry recitations.

Wear your tartan, bring your Scottish pride, and get ready to toast the lassies (and the lads).

FOR THE BRAVE AND HARDY GUESTS, WEARING THE FULL KILT GET UP WILL WIN YOU A SPECIAL MOFAD PRIZE!

Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it,
But we hae meat and we can eat,
And sae the Lord be thankit.
