From Sprinkles to Sundaes: The Evolution of Ice Cream in America

  • Museum of Food and Drink 62 Bayard Street Brooklyn, NY, 11222 United States (map)

James Beard Award-nominee Stella Parks will be celebrating the release of her debut cookbook, BraveTart: Iconic American Desserts, with everything ice cream! Along with Max Falkowitz of Saveur, Stella will tell the story of ice cream saloons in New York City, discuss the history of ice cream sandwiches and chocolate sprinkles in Brooklyn, and demo a giant batch of toffee.

Following the talk and demo, there will be a BraveTart book signing, an ice cream sundae party featuring Häagen-Dazs with toppings made by Stella, and beer from Brooklyn Brewery.
