The human influence on corn's development in the last seven thousand years brought a simple wild grass from the fields of central Mexico into homes on every continent. Our impact on the development of this golden grain is eclipsed only by corn’s proliferation in our culture, on our plates, and even as an energy source.

Maiz is the cultural symbol of Mexico and it has embraced it as part of daily life. It is the foundation of the country’s culinary traditions … and the foundation of a quality taco. We will take you on a savory journey exploring the influence this humble kernel has had on Mexico, and the world, from before the Aztecs to today.

Doors open at 6 pm. Tickets include admission, Tacombi tacos and tastings, and 2 beers from Brooklyn Brewery. Tacos will be served throughout the night and other items will be passed during the presentation. Ages 21 and over.
