Jessie Wesley

Educator

Jessie is a Seattle born, Brooklyn-based educator who creates and facilitates spaces where food is at the center. She's worked to bring in more produce from small farms for school meal programs, developed social justice culinary classes, and during the pandemic coordinated the delivery of 8,000 meals a week from restaurants to unhoused communities.  These days, you can find her teaching cooking classes for kids in Williamsburg, planning singles parties, bartending at your favorite local pasta restaurant, painting watercolors in the park, organizing restaurant workers, and of course at MOFAD. She thrives in community, especially in the meaningful conversations that unfold between bites. Her favorite way to get to know someone is to pick a fish carcass with them.
